Probably the only resources that this little Island of ours has is the ocean and the rain water.
What are we capable of doing?
We direct the rain water that has been coming down on this Island for these last hours down the drain and into the sea.
But it’s not only that.
The tragedy in all of this is that the drains do not manage to keep up with all the accumulated rain water and a nice Purée ghala Maltija is the result – drenagg fil-bahar!

Andrew, well said. We pay millions of euro to produce drinking water and millions of euros to throw away what nature gives us for free!
I live just above Wied Hesri and it’s said to see so many gallons of water streaming into Qormi only to end up in the sea.
cheers
Hemm bzonn li issir xi haga mmedjata halli dan l-ilma jigi migbur u jintuza kif suppost. Kull dar, kemm privata u kemm djar tal-gvern ghadhom ikollhom bjar jew gibjuni taht l-art. Mhux hafna min l-ilma tal-bjut immur dirett fid-drenagg u mbaghad ifuru l-ispieri tad-drenagg u rhielu ghat-toroq. Dan kollu periklu ghal sahhitna barra l-ilma rizorz naturali u verament bzonnjuz jibqa sejjer dritt gol-bahar.
Dr. Azzopardi nitolbok biex permezz tal-program tieghek tqajjem diskusjoni dwar il-hela tal-ilma u l-awtoritajiet jaghmlu hilithom biex dan ir-rizorz jingabar u jintuza b’ghaqal mic-cittadini Maltin.
